- Pohl takes possession stories somewhere nastier than demons: ordinary people hijacked mid-life by unseen riders, and Chandler, branded on the forehead for crimes his body committed, has to live with the wreckage. It's short, grim, and blunt about what absolute power does, so skip it if you want comfort.
- Pohl's satire of admen and consumer culture still bites: in one story a man keeps waking up to the same June 15th, hammered by ad jingles, and the reason why is genuinely creepy. Sharp, cynical 1950s stuff, better if you like your sci-fi with a smirk.
