- Clytemnestra runs this whole play, coaxing her husband onto those blood-red tapestries while you watch, knowing what's coming. It's slow and choral and dread-soaked, so bring patience, but the Cassandra scene, where she sees everything and no one believes her, still lands hard.
- You watch the Furies, still wet with Clytemnestra's blood-grudge, get talked down by Athena into becoming something like a justice system, and it's strangely moving. Read the two plays before it first, though, or the courtroom finale won't land the way it should.
- Middle play of the Oresteia, so read Agamemnon first, but this is where the dread pays off: Orestes and Electra meeting at their father's grave, and Clytemnestra pleading with her own son. It's stark and ritual-heavy, and the ending genuinely rattles, Furies arriving like a nightmare.
