Black Hawk
1 Buch
- You get a rare, plainspoken account of Sauk life, land, and resistance, with Black Hawk’s pride and bewilderment coming through even though the story is mediated by an interpreter and editor. Read it for the voice of a leader trying to make the record answer to him, not for polished autobiography.
