Vladimir Korolenko
1 Buch
- Korolenko spent years exiled in Siberia and it shows, in the good way: snowbound Yakut settlements, drifters, prisoners, all written with real tenderness. Start with Makar's Dream, where a poor peasant argues his case before God, and you'll see how funny and forgiving he can be at once.
