Little Men Louisa May Alcott English
You settle into Plumfield, where Jo and Professor Bhaer turn a lively household of boys into a rough-edged school of kindness, work, and second chances. Nat’s shy arrival and the daily scrapes make it warmly episodic, a little preachy at times, but deeply comforting if you like character over plot.
The Kalevala Elias Lönnrot, tradotto da John Martin Crawford English
You get a strange, musical world of singing contests, forged treasures, marriages, feuds, and spells, with Väinämöinen winning battles through knowledge as often as force. The episodes feel uneven and dreamlike, but the repeated charms and the bleak Kullervo story stay with you.
